Love hungry howies pizza, but the service here is despicable. Ordered online and ordered and my crust was completely dry when I ordered double butter cheese crust. When I spoke to management they told me there was nothing they could do since he “personally” didn’t think it was an issue. As a manager I feel like he should’ve at least offered a solution, not put his personal opinion as to what his thought were on what causes this to be a big deal. Most pizza places will either make the order right or offer some sort of refund or replacement. Disgusted at the fact that he understood that my order was not fulfilled correctly but will not fix the issue, when I asked if anyone had checked the order he told me he had too many things to do that it was impossible but he was “positive the butter cheese was on my pizza” I even offered to send a picture. Hungry Howies is my favorite pizza, but this just leave me not wanting to order from you guys if you can’t take accountability for mistakes.

This is such an amazing place. The food is so delicious, the dough is so fresh and light and spongy crispy on the bottom and the pizza sauce taste so natural and it doesn’t give me heartburn, also the cheese is 100% milk cheese and is so good. You should go here if you crave a Little Caesars run or Pizza Hut run. very affordable and better quality, but don’t take my word for it. Try it yourself.

want to share something truly meaningful that happened to me and my family. We stopped by Hungry Howie’s during a really difficult moment—we didn’t have enough money to buy food, and I was honestly feeling pretty defeated. But the owner greeted us with a big smile and an even bigger heart. Instead of turning us away, she showed us kindness I won’t ever forget. She gave my family a whole pizza, no questions asked. And on top of that—the food was absolutely delicious. You could taste the care and quality in every bite. It wasn’t just a meal, it was comfort when we needed it most. In a world where it’s easy to walk past someone struggling, she chose compassion. That simple act meant more than just food—it gave us hope, dignity, and a reminder that there are still genuinely good people out there. We highly recommend Hungry Howie’s to anyone looking for not just great pizza, but a place filled with kindness. We’ll be keeping them in our prayers and hoping their business continues to grow and be blessed, just like they blessed us. Thank you for feeding not just our stomachs, but our spirits too. We’ll never forget it.

I think I've visited and order from every pizza/ sub shop in the RGV. By far this place is Amazing! I was initially impressed by the cleanliness. I have ordered from Pizza Hut and Domino's. Pizza Hut on University was disgusting. There were bugs on the counter as you ordered, I will never visit/order ANYTHING from that place again. Domino's Pizzas were dry and disappointing, but much cleaner in comparison to the Hut. I've ordered from Hungry Howies twice so far, I have not been disappointed. The pizza is hot and flavorful (crust seasoning is yummy), establishment is extremely clean and organized. Let's talk about the subs. I order the chicken club the second time. I have one word....AMAZING. So different than the humdrum Subway sub. I was super impressed with the customer service: explaining specials, recommendations and greeting...top notch. Yadi, cares deeply about customer service providing a clean, healthy restaurant. Very rare here! LASTLY the prices are very affordable and the quality is not compromised Don't believe my words, try for yourself!!!

I love this place. I first tried this pizza in San Antonio so I’m glad there’s one here on the North McAllen/Edinburg border. The owner is such a wonderful person with a natural passion for customer service. I love the flatbread pizzas. Small enough to be a personal size and I love the thin crust. The different flavors for the crust is a nice option and they are all delicious. The wings are so delicious and a good size. Perfect pizza and wings for family night. Pepperoni, mushroom and jalapeno on original stuffed crust without seasoning on crust is a favorite!
